Why this recipe is awesome:

First, let’s talk about Overnight Oats!

Typically, they are called this because you combine all the ingredients and let sit in the fridge overnight, so in the morning they are ready to eat, no cooking required! This also helps to marinate the flavors. Just be careful with what ingredients you combine, as some can become “soggy” quicker than others.

Let’s start with the Basic Overnight Oats Recipe

What you’ll need:

  • Hemp hearts
  • Chia Seeds – these are optional but really help to make the consistency a bit more “pudding-like”. In addition to tasting great and helping with consistency, chia seeds also sport a host of proven benefitssuch as reducing the risk of type 2 diabetes.
  • Full Fat Coconut Milk, or Almond Milk, or any Milk of your choice

Optional:

  • Protein Powder
  • Add-Ins – This is where the magic happens. You can literally throw in anything and it will probably come out tasting delicious. Experiment with your favorite flavor combinations until you come up with a winner.

Method:

  1. Add all ingredients to a bowl or mason jar.
  2. Mix together thoroughly.
  3. Place in the refrigerator over night, or a minimum of 4 hours.
  4. Open the next day and enjoy!

Here Are A Few Variations We Love:

Pumpkin Pie Oats

  • 3 tbsp Hemp Hearts
  • 1 tbsp Pumpkin Puree
  • 1/2 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • 1 tsp Chia Seeds
  • 2 drops Liquid Stevia
  • 3 tbsp Almond Milk

Almond Joy Oats

  • 3 tbsp Hemp Hearts
  • 1/2 tbsp Chopped Almonds
  • 1/2 tbsp Lily’s Chocolate Chip
  • 1/2 tbsp Shredded Coconut
  • 1/4 cup Coconut Milk
  • 1 drop Liquid Stevia

Protein Oats

  • 3 tbsp Hemp Hearts We Use This!
  • 1 tbsp Protein Powder We use this!
  • 1 tsp Chia Seeds We use this!
  • 1/4 cup Coconut Milk

Turmeric Vanilla Oats

  • 3 tbsp Hemp Hearts
  • 1/4 cup Coconut Milk
  • 1 tsp Chia Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp tumeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 drops Liquid Stevia
